This course takes students to the intermediate-advanced concepts of nonlinear editing of the Avid Media 

Composer system. Experienced Avid Media Composer editors learn greater productivity by mastering the system's sophisticated editing features and shortcuts.  Students learn to streamline the system, media, and project management.

Advanced navigation and trimming, editing and viewing options, sync point and replace editing, using buttons and keys, keyboard shortcuts, multi-camera editing,  advanced trimming techniques, customizing settings, working with audio and sync, capturing and recapturing tips, project management, media management, improving performance, transcoding and linking, recapturing sequences

This course is designed to teach you the core skills for editing with Avid Media Composer, and introduce you to the fundamental concepts and workflow of editing.

Since its release over 20 years ago, Media Composer has been used to cut more films, more prime time TV shows, more sitcoms, ad more music videos than any other editing application on the market.  And this is still true today.

In this course, you will use the Avid system to input and organize source footage, edit sync and non-sync material, trim, sequence, adjust audio, create titles, and output work.  The final product will be a finished program.
